Venezuelan "migrant influencer" Leonel Moreno, notorious for flaunting U.S. government assistance and encouraging illegal migrants to squat in American homes, has been deported to Venezuela. After illegally crossing into Texas in April 2022, Moreno failed to comply with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) check-ins, leading to his arrest in Ohio and a subsequent deportation order in October. His deportation became feasible after President Trump resumed flights to Venezuela. During the return flight, Moreno caused disruptions, necessitating additional security measures. Upon arrival, he was welcomed back by Venezuelan officials. Moreno's social media activity, including boasting about government handouts and promoting squatting, had previously sparked significant controversy.
