Why Japanese Scientists Created Human Hybrids

I've Arrived in a Country That Allows Scientists to Grow Half Human, Half Animal Hybrids.

Cuz I wanna find out
why are they doing this?

So these experiments involves injecting human stem cells into modified animal embryos. Since the embryos were modified to lack a specific organ, the human cells step in to develop that organ. But until recently scientists were only approved for organs like lungs or livers.

Now they have approval for the creation of hybrids with human brain cells.

So this has raised loads of questions. What if the animals become conscious like humans? Is this animal cruelty?

Are we watching too many movies? But the only question I'm concerned with was why are they doing this? Turns out all around the world there is a shortage of organ donors. So naturally there are many efforts to fill this shortage. Everything from 3D printing to black market harvesting. But what if we could grow human organs in other animals, then harvest those for transplants? That's the idea.
