He, Lt. Col. Oscar L. Bond, Jr., recieved many metals. Recieving two DFC's, one pinned by Gen.Curtis LeMay and the Fly Over medal pinnrd by President George Bush Sr.(1990) These were awarded for his participation as a pilot in a secert operation code name "Slick Chick".
