Training ship to hold open house

The Great Lakes Maritime Academy at Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City will host an "open ship" on the training ship State of Michigan from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 12. The day will include: self-guided tours of the ship, interaction with current maritime cadets and an opportunity to learn more about the Great Lakes Maritime Academy, maritime careers and U.S. Navy commissioning options.
