Paddle boat seeks historical status

The owners of the AuSable River Queen are working to raise money to fix its paddlewheel and hopefully get its historical status. Since being pulled out of Foote Pond in Oscoda last week, the River Queen is up on shore. They are also working to see if Oscoda Township will create a historic district to get the boat marked as a historical landmark. To raise funds, they will be selling AuSable River Queen bracelets.
