How Long, O Yahweh?
For the choir director. A Psalm of David.

1 How long, O Yahweh? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?
2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart all the day? How long will my enemy be exalted over me?
3 Look and answer me, O Yahweh my God; give light to my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death,
4 Lest my enemy says, “I have overcome him,” and my adversaries rejoice that I am shaken.
5 But I have trusted in Your lovingkindness; my heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.
6 I will sing to Yahweh, because He has dealt bountifully with me.
