MI beat KKR by 8 wickets in the 12th Match of IPL- 25.

The 12th Match of Men’s Tata IPL-2025 was played between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders at Wankhede Stadium Mumbai on 31st March, 2025. In this match Mumbai Indians defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 8 wickets. In this match Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to bowl first.
Kolkata Knight Riders while batting first were all out at paltry score of 116 runs in 16.2 overs only and gave target of 117 runs to Mumbai Indians to win.In reply Mumbai Indians scored 121 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 12.5 overs and won the match by 8 wickets.
Kolkata Knight Riders batted very poorly and were reeling at 45 for 5 wickets in 6.6 overs and were put on backfoot. Kolkata Knight Riders lost the first wicket of Sunil Narine in the first over of the game bold by Trunt Boult and went without scoring. Deepak Chahar then removed Quinton de Kock in the second over caught by Ashwani Kumar after scoring one run only.
Then Captain Ajinkya Rahane was out by debutant Ashwani Kumar caught by Tilak Verma and contributed only 11 runs from 7 balls hitting 1 four and 1 six. Angkrish Raghuvanshi top scored with 26 runs from 16 balls which included 3 fours and 1 six.
Venkatesh Iyer made 3 runs, Rinku Singh made 17 runs, Andre Russell made 5 runs only. Ramandeep Singh contributed 22 runs and Spencer Johnson remained not out on one run.
Dubutant Ashwani Kumar bowled superbly and took 4 wickets in 3 overs only and gave only 24 runs.Two wickets were taken by Deepak Chahar.One wicket each was taken by Trent Boult,Hardik Pandya,Vignesh Puthur and Mitchell Santner. KKR scored 116 runs all out in 16.2 overs.
In reply MI made 121 runs for 2 wickets in 12.5 overs and won the match by 8 wickets. MI started well and added 46 runs for the first wicket in 5.2 only. Rohit Sharma was first to go out caught by Harshit Rana of the bowling of Andre Russell scoring 13 runs from 12 balls hitting one six.
Then Andre Ressell took the wicket of Will Jacks caught by Ajinkya Rahane and scored 16 runs. Then Riyan Rickelton played a gem of innings and remained not out on 62 runs from 41 balls hitting 4 fours and 5 sixes.Surya Kumar Yadav also remained not out 27 runs from 9 balls only hitting 3 fours and 2 sixes.
Andre Russell took 2 wickets for KKR. MI scored 121 runs for 2 wickets in 12.5 overs and won the match by 8 wickets. Debutant Ashwani Kumar was adjudged the Player of the Match.
