Bus People

It is based on my experience that most job interviewers don't care if you have to pay 20cad/h to park in downtown for an interview that might result in nothing

[Verse 1 - Accordion]
Woke up today, hope in my eyes,
Dressed in my best, ready to rise.
Stepped on the bus, dreams in my heart,
But the smell hit me, like a poisoned dart.

Homeless souls, in every seat,
Their stories written on the street.
The stench of life, raw and real,
An invisible chain, I now feel.

[Chorus - Violin & Accordion]
Bus people, bus people,
In this metal cage we're equal.
But the world outside, doesn't see,
The struggle and the misery.

[Verse 2 - Accordion]
No one wants you when you smell like decay,
Lower-class lungs, “unprofessional” they say.
Scrub till your skin bleeds corporate gray—
But the stench of the bus never washes away.

Arrived at the door, of opportunity,
But the scent of the bus, followed me.
They wrinkled their nose, looked me up and down,
Dismissed me quick, with a frown.

[Bridge - Soft Accordion]
This smell, it's a chain, that binds us tight,
A judgment passed, without a fight.
They turn away, refuse to see,
The humanity, in you and me.

[Chorus - Violin & Accordion]
Bus people, bus people,
In this metal cage we're equal.
But the world outside, doesn't see,
The struggle and the misery.

[Outro - Fading Accordion]
So here's to the bus, and the people within,
To the dreams that fade, and the hopes that begin.
We're trapped in this cycle, with no escape,
Underneath the stench, and society's drape.
