Final Fantasy I Part 1 - Missing Princess

Final Fantasy, originally released in 1987 for the NES, is the first entry in the legendary RPG series by Square. The game follows four heroes known as the Warriors of Light, each carrying a darkened crystal.

They embark on a journey to restore balance to the world, which has fallen into chaos due to the corruption of the Four Elemental Fiends—Lich, Marilith, Kraken, and Tiamat. These fiends have drained the power of the elements, leading to natural disasters and widespread turmoil.

The heroes travel across the land, visiting kingdoms, dungeons, and ruins while battling monsters and strengthening their abilities. Along the way, they encounter iconic figures such as Princess Sarah, who needs rescuing from the rogue knight Garland, and the sage Lukahn, who foretold their coming.

The journey eventually leads them to the Temple of Fiends, where they uncover a time-loop orchestrated by Chaos, the true villain of the story. In a paradoxical twist, Garland, thought to be defeated at the beginning, was sent back in time and transformed into Chaos, ensuring his own resurrection through an endless cycle.

To break the loop, the Warriors of Light travel 2,000 years into the past to defeat Chaos once and for all. After an intense final battle, they succeed, restoring harmony to the world and erasing the dark events from history.

The game ends on a note of mystery, hinting that the Warriors' deeds will be forgotten, but their legacy will live on in the balance of the world. Final Fantasy set the foundation for the series with its turn-based combat, job system, and epic storytelling, becoming a landmark in RPG history.
