Lena woke up gasping. The room was dark, except for the dim glow of the streetlight outside. 3:13 AM. She had the same nightmare again—trapped in a house with something watching her.

She shook it off and reached for her phone. But her fingers touched… skin.

Her breath hitched. Slowly, she turned her head. A pale hand rested beside her pillow.

Heart pounding, she scrambled to turn on the lamp—but nothing was there.

She laughed nervously. "Just a dream…" she whispered.

Then, from the foot of her bed, a voice mimicked her:

"Just a dream…"

Her lamp flickered on—and she saw it. A twisted, grinning face, inches from hers.

Lena tried to scream. But the lights went out. And the nightmare began again.
