Final Fantasy IX Remake to Be Announced for Nintendo Switch 2?

Nintendo is holding a massive stream that will reveal several aspects of their upcoming console, the Switch 2. Several announcements are expected, and many more have been speculated.

One game that has been long rumored is a remake/remaster of the PlayStation era classic Final Fantasy IX. Square Enix has tipped their hand on numerous occasions that a remake is in the works, but with the title turning 25 this year, a dedicated website being launched and their new multiplatform approach to releases in full swing, the stars are seemingly aligning for a huge announcement that is music to the ears of classic Final Fantasy fans and Nintendo fans alike.
