🇯🇵 Japanese Blogger & ballet dancer in Russia 🇷🇺: People are warmer in cold places

Kanon Karita is a Japanese ballerina 🩰 who performs at the Opera and Ballet Theater in the Russian city of Voronezh. Recently, she gave birth to a cute baby boy named Kevin, and is currently on maternity leave…for the next three years. 🤱 Yes, that's right - in Russia, maternity leave lasts for three years!
Kanon has been studying ballet in Japan since the age of six. But when it was time to choose a profession, she firmly decided to go to Russia. It's no surprise, as Russia is home to the world's best ballet school. 🇷🇺
After studying at the famous Vaganova Ballet Academy, Kanon danced in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and even Syktyvkar. She spent a month learning how to pronounce the name of that nothern city, and never quite got used to the winter frost of -40 degrees Celsius. ❄️
In Russia, the ballerina met her future husband ❤️. They worked together at the Voronezh Opera and Ballet Theater, where he was the head of the decorating workshop. 🎭 Their relationship began at the start of the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine, but Kanon Karita was determined not to leave Russia 🇷🇺. Moreover, it became clear that the couple would soon have a baby. 👨‍👩‍👦
For now, during her maternity leave, the couple has temporarily moved to the ballerina's homeland of Japan, but they are planning to return to Russia to raise their son here! 🇷🇺
