Dr. DREAM speaks with Claudia Costa. Claudia began her venture in plant healing and entheogens in 1994 when first partaking in ayahuasca and mushroom ceremonies.
In 2001 she began to work and began teaching at Flower Power Herbs and Roots in Manhattan as an on staff herbalist for 13 years.
She was gallery manager, DJ and event coordinator at Alex & Allyson Grey’s Chapel of Sacred Mirrors since 2005. She has been involved with many different Visionary artists and communities such as Moksha Visionary Art collective in Miami.
She then began working with Kambo in 2014 and eventually focused on the Yawanawá traditional approach when meeting her teacher Nainawa in 2019.
The Yawanawá are one of the original Kambo/ Uni/ Rapeh tribes in the Brazilian Amazon who are also the first to initiate medicine women and leaders such as Chief Putanny in the state of Acre, Brazil.
Claudia has been involved with many different tribes and medicine communities in Colombia as part of cultural events and music projects.
She is currently immersing in the Southern Italian musical traditions with her teacher and ethnomusicologist Alessandra Belloni author of “Healing journeys with the Black Madonna.”
She has found her calling in fusing together her herbal and musical skills to help others tune in to their own traditions and self healing. She considers herself a bridge to bring this sacred work around the globe so that she may give back to the teachers and indigenous tribes that have supported her in this work.
