Meet Frederic Andrieu, 🇫🇷 a French pastry chef who has been living in Russia for 14 years, and he has his own pastry shop in Pereslavl-Zalessky 🇷🇺.
Before moving to Russia, Frederic seemed to have traveled the world—working in the hospitality industry across the Caribbean, Venezuela, the USA, the Philippines, Egypt, Kuwait, and Lebanon. And that’s just a few of the countries on his list!
One day, his chef invited Frederic to Russia: “Come! You’ll like it here!” He came and fell in love with Russia.
In Pereslavl, this talented pastry chef met his future wife, Victoria, and together they are working in their own pastry shop. Visitors claim you can’t find better pastries even in Russia’s capital, Moscow.

But this video isn’t just about Frederic and his family. Here’s an interesting fact: Pereslavl is home to many expats from the USA, Switzerland, France, and beyond. How they all ended up here and why they came to Russia is all covered in this video.
