* The saints didn’t just endure suffering—they welcomed it.
* St. Ignatius of Antioch wrote: “Let me be ground by the teeth of wild beasts, that I may become the pure bread of Christ.”
* St. Moses the Black was beaten by thieves—then forgave them and invited them into the monastery.
* St. Paul called his afflictions “light and momentary” while being beaten, shipwrecked, and imprisoned.
* They weren’t looking for comfort—they were looking for Christ. And He was found in the fire.
