RCB lost to GT by 8 wickets in the 14th match of IPL- 25 in Bengaluru

The 14th Match of Men’s Tata IPL-2025 was played between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titians at M Chinnaswamy Stadium Bengaluru on 2nd April,2025. In this match Gujarat Titians defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 8 wickets. In this match Gujarat Titians won the toss and opted to bowl first.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru while batting first scored 169 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs and gave target of 170 runs to Gujarat Titians to win. In reply Gujarat Titians scored 170 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 17.5 overs and won the match by 8 wickets.
While batting first Royal Challengers Bengaluru started poorly and were reeling at 35 for 3 wickets in 4.4 overs. Virat Kohli was first to go out cheaply caught by Prasidh Krishna of the bowling of Arshad Khan and scored 7 runs from 6 balls hitting 1 four.
Devdutt Padikkal was second to go bold by Mohammed Siraj and scored 4 runs only. Philip Salt was third wicket to fall bold by Mohammed Siraj after scoring 14 runs from 13 balls hitting 1 four and 1 six.
Then captain Rajat Patidar was out LBW to Ishant Sharma and scored 12 runs from 12 balls hitting 2 fours. Then Sai Kishore bowled well and took 2 wickets in the middle phase. He first took the wicket of Jitesh Sharma caught by Rahul Tewatia. Jitesh Sharma scored 33 runs from 21 balls hitting 5 fours and 1 six.
Krunal Pandya made 5 runs and was caught and bold by Sai Kishore.Tim David made quickfire 32 runs from 18 balls hitting 3 fours and 2 sixes. Liam Livingstone top scored with 54 runs from 40 balls hitting 1 four and 5 sixes. Bhuvneshwar Kumar remained not out on one run. RCB managed to score 169 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.
Mohammed Siraj bowled well and took 3 wickets. Two wickets were taken by Sai Kishore.One wicket each was taken by Arshad Khan, Prasidh Krishna and Ishant Sharma.
In reply GT scored 146 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs and won the match by 6 wickets. Shubman Gill was first to go out caught by Liam Livingstone of the bowing of Bhuvneshwar Kumar after scoring 14 run and added 32 runs for the first wicket with Sai Sudharsan.
Then Jos Butler and Sai Sudharsan batted well and added 64 runs from 41 balls for the second wicket and laid solid foundation for GT to win. Sai Sudharsan played well and was out caught by Jitesh Sharma of the bowling of Josh Hazlewood after scoring 49 runs from 36 balls hitting 7 fours and one six.
Jos Butler remained not out on 73 runs from 39 balls hitting 5 fours and 6 sixes and added unbeaten 63 runs from 32 balls with Sherfane Rutherford for the third wicket and won the match for GT.
Sherfane Rutherford also remained not out on 30 runs from 18 balls hitting 1 four and 3 sixes. GT scored 170 runs for the loss of 2 wickets and won the match by 8 wickets Mohammed Siraj was adjudged the Player of the Match.
