“Seven Pounds” is a 2008 American drama film directed by Gabriele Muccino. The movie follows the story of Ben Thomas (played by Will Smith), an IRS agent who is filled with remorse and guilt after causing a tragic car accident that kills seven people.

Ben sets out on a journey to redeem himself by helping seven strangers in desperate need, and in doing so, he plans to sacrifice his own life to atone for his mistake. During his mission, he meets Emily Posa (played by Rosario Dawson), a woman with a heart condition who is in need of a transplant.
