This might not sound controversial. But earlier this year, pro-lifers on X ended up in a heated debate over this very question.

Some people claimed that saying “congratulations” glorifies and condones a sinful act. Others say that this is the appropriate response to any new child’s life, no matter how he or she was conceived.

The online debate brought to the surface a deeper question as well. In the pro-life movement’s focus on empowering single moms to choose life, are pro-lifers diminishing the importance of marriage and fatherhood? Have pro-lifers embraced a toxic form of “feminism”?
