Do you know the story about the footprints on the beach? The subject has met their maker, their God, and they were reviewing Dude's life. Dude noticed two sets of footprints on the beach and asked his God about them. God says, "there are two sets of footprints because I have been walking with you always." A little bit further along, Dude noticed there are intervals where there are only one set of footprints. Dude inquires, "Why only one set of footprints." God says, "Those are the times that I carried you."

I liked that story the first time I read it. Doesn't make me believe in an all-mighty anthropomorphic Abrahamic deity. Nonetheless I can relate it to my own expanding quadrastanding & faith in Universe. We, the Trinity are currently living this consciously, and realizing that we've been carried, protected by Universe for Life. Many times shish could have turned out differently. In those times "Universe" went by the name of "Luck." Sometimes "Fate." Sometimes "George." Names only matter to groups, in order to create a point around which to gather. "Church" means "circle."
