A Polish flare gun from the Cold War era was on sale, so I figured I'd purchase and unbox it on the channel.

Designed by Shpagin - more known for the PPSH-41 - the SPPSH-44 was it's designation in the Soviet Union, but it was adopted by other Warsaw Powers under various other designations.

Flare pistols or flare guns are not considered firearms under American law, so there's no need for a background check and these can be mailed directly to your house.

These shoot 26.5 mm flares, which you can still find today.
