Saudi Arabia has been at war with Yemen since 1967, many of those years supported by the US. Yemen is the poorest nation in the Arab world. Yet they are the only ones on the planet trying to do something practical to defend the Palestinians in Gaza that are being slaughtered by Israel with US assistance. The US Secretary of Defense is totally out of touch about the realities in this region. It turns out that Yemen has some excellent engineers who are very capable with military issues and they are saying that there are some 'surprises' for the US. The purest form of Islam is in Yemen, which is one of the reasons Saudi Arabia has been at war with Yemen. Pepe Escobar just spent a week in Yemen and is sharing what he learned.
