The sudden polling surge for the Liberals isn’t just strange—it’s strategic. After holding a massive lead for nearly two years, Conservative support is suddenly dropping—right as Trudeau steps down and Mark Carney takes over. But when you dig deeper, something doesn’t add up.

One polling firm, Liaison Strategies, with reported Liberal ties, barely polled in recent years—until now. Suddenly, they’re submitting new results daily or every other day, flooding the averages and tilting the polling narrative. Add in strange weightings—like 69% of respondents being over 55, the most Liberal-leaning demographic—and it starts to look a lot more like a discouragement campaign than an honest snapshot.

This tactic plays on psychology: people want to back a winner. And if they think the Conservatives are losing, they’re more likely to sit this one out. Don’t fall for it. Four weeks is a lifetime in politics.
