Odd Red UFO Filmed by Cancun Motorist

A motorist in Cancun was left scratching his head at the sight of an odd red UFO that lit up the night sky over the Mexican city. According to a local media report, the curious sighting occurred in the early morning hours of April 1st as the unnamed driver was stopped in traffic. Letting his eyes wander as he waited to continue on his journey, the man was taken aback when he noticed the fairly sizable illuminated object out on the horizon.

Awestruck by what he was seeing, the witness managed to briefly film the peculiar UFO, marveling "have you seen the sky? Guys, this is happening in Cancun."

Alas a different red light brought an end to the footage as the traffic signal changed and the man had to resume driving, so he smartly stopped filming the scene and turned his attention back to the road.

The witness subsequently shared his footage on social media, where one individual claimed to have also seen a blue light over Cancun that evening. Theories for what the UFO could have been included fireworks, a meteorological phenomenon known as a red sprite, and, of course, aliens.
