Countries block apps and websites all the time

At the beginning of the 21st century, America blocked all kinds of religious websites from being reached in regards to the events from 9-11. What is relevant 25ish years later for at least america is not so much the blocking of religious websites but a social media app.

Other countries throughout history since the internet became mainstream have blocked access to websites because it didn't align with their ideology. America was and is no different and with the stroke of a pen, certain aspects of the internet can't be reached.

This is why I have an anti cloud in my basement that just houses all my pictures of my cats and vacation photos. I also have it in more than one location.
