2004-2008 Acura TL brake light switch and clip replacement.

Here we go into detail about how to replace a brake light switch in an acura. We have a 2005 TL but this repair is consistent with 2004-2008 models.

First we disconnect the battery when ever repairing or handling anything electrical. Then under the steer wheel is the panel that covers the area we are working on. pull it off gently it will come out with ease.

Then locate the brake pedal and follow it up to the old brake light switch. disconnect the switch with a white clip and pull put the wire harness. Then twist the old brake light switch and pull it out. replace with the new one and slide It back into the location where the old one came out of. twist back and re plug in with the white harness that came out of the back of the old light bulb switch. That's how you replace the switch.

Often time the black clip inside the brake pedal will break and it will need to be replaced and not the switch. it fits right in the hole.
