(This is a very informative discussion about the US Military, Israel, Iran, Yemen, Middle East and the many complex interactions that could easily escalate out of control. This is the type of honest discussion that we need more of. Each of the participants expressed their concerns based upon their own understanding of the facts that they were able to discern. Although the discussions were heated at times, it is important to realize that they refrained from personal attacks, which is so prevalent in 'political' discussions.

I've always been impressed with Nima's ability to guide discussions to bring out relevant insights based upon various conflicting realities. I've been putting together bios for key people and was impressed to find out that Nima is an Iranian PhD professor of civil engineering teaching in Brazil. You can take a look at the bios that I've put together for all three.

As all have pointed out, the US high level decision makers can't be depended on to follow through and uphold agreements. Most of them also lack an in depth understanding of the history of these nations and their cultures. Trying to impose the US way of thinking on these diverse cultures doesn't lead to effective understanding and agreements.

Although this discussion is long, a lot can be learned by listening to all of it that we won't get from the biased political chatter. At the moment, the US is indiscriminately bombing civilians in Yemen without addressing the real reasons behind the slaughter of civilians in Gaza which the Houthi's of Yemen are supporting. — RAD)
