Today, I’m sharing a cocktail recipe from Gimmeldingen. A place where the most beautiful almond trees bloom. Their pale pink blossoms attract countless visitors each year.

This pink summer cocktail is fresh, sparkling, and makes an ideal aperitif. Perfect not only for enjoying sunny days in the Palatinate.

If you’re looking for a floral, citrusy, and almondy alternative to the Aperol Spritz, you’re going to love this drink.

COCKTAIL RECIPE
90ml - 3oz PROSECCO or BRUT CHAMPAGNE
180ml - 6oz CHERRY BLOSSOM TONIC WATER
15ml - ½oz ORGEAT

Pour all ingredients in chilled and ice filled wine glass. Give it a briefly stir. Garnish with roses, cherry blossoms but never with almond blossoms.

If the almond syrup feels a bit too heavy for you, you can replace half of it with rose syrup. The rose adds more complexity to the entire drink, resulting in a beautiful variation of the cocktail.
