Iran Unveils Jet-Powered Variant of Shahed-136 Kamikaze Drone

Iran has introduced a jet-powered version of the Shahed-136 (Geran-2) drone, replacing the propeller with a mini jet engine to significantly boost its speed and make it more difficult to intercept.

Though this new variant sacrifices some range and payload compared to its predecessor, it eliminates the drone’s distinctive buzzing sound—leading some analysts to label it a “stealth” version of the Shahed-136.
