They gathered at the center of the village.
An elder suggested, "Let's try to talk to it."
They lit lanterns and walked to the forest.
As they entered, they heard soft giggles.
"Ghost, please don't be naughty," they called.
A gentle ghost appeared, smiling warmly.
"I'm lonely and want to be friends," it said.
The villagers welcomed the ghost happily. From then on, the village was peaceful again.
