Radar the Spaghetti Cujo #rescuedog

Here's Radar! We adopted her from the Brevard County Animal Shelter years ago. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge in August 2023 at the impressive age of 18 and a half. Radar was a genuine mutt, a mix of various breeds, which blessed her with the most delightful personality. She got along with every dog she met, and cats and kittens adored her. But oh, how she loved her food! No matter the time or place, the moment you opened the fridge, she’d be right by your side.

This video is from a few years back when I was making spaghetti. True to form, Radar was circling the stove, drawn by the aromas. I always felt a little sorry for her—she spent years sniffing those tantalizing smells (and occasionally snagging a sample) without ever seeing what was up there on the counter!

Radar was the sweetest dog imaginable. You could pluck food straight from her mouth, and she’d never fuss—never growled, rarely barked, and just loved being near us. Well, except for this one time: I tossed her a strand of spaghetti, and she attacked it like she was Radar, the Spaghetti Cujo! We miss you, Razzy Ro (our special nickname for her)!
