Molasses Cookies Recipe

Ingredients + Recipe:
Chewy Molasses Cookies
2-1/4 C flour
1-1/2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp ground ginger
1-1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 c softened butter
1/2 c packed brown sugar
1/4 c granulated sugar
1/3 c molasses
1 large egg
2 tsp vanilla

Whisk together flour, baking soda, spices and salt and In a bowl and put aside.

In a mixer cream together the butter, sugar and brown sugar. Add molasses and combine then spoon in flour/spice mixture and combine in mixer. Finally add the egg and vanilla and mix for one minute.

Place dough in refrigerator for one hour

Remove dough from fridge, then preheat oven to 350.

Roll cookie dough 1 tablespoon at a time into a ball and roll around in sugar. Place on cookie sheet with parchment paper and bake cookies 11-12 minutes.
