Major retailer quietly shutters Oakland store

The Lululemon store on the corner of 25th and Broadway in Uptown Oakland has quietly closed its doors for good.

Signs posted outside of the popular workout apparel brand’s storefront indicated the closure occurred last Monday, as local Redditors first noted. The company headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, did not respond to SFGATE’s questions about the reason for the abrupt departure and how many employees were affected.
