Daily Snark 4/8/25 Don’t Romanticize the Past

This one will probably get me in trouble.

Again.

Lately, when I’ve been telling true stories, but leaving identities out of the post, crybabies whine.

They’re interested in the gossip side of things, not what’s actually being said.

And, as I’ve stated in the past, that’s fine.

That’s on them.

The reason I don’t name names, sometimes, is: what’s the point in burning bridges?

What’s the point in getting mired in negativity?

The overall theme of the video stands, whether a name is said or not, so I choose to remove it.

That said, I’ve heard a couple wealthy people have crap takes on life recently. First was the wealthy fella who said to “work less, and spend more time in nature.”

Which is great advice, if all your bills are paid.

And now this musician, and their wistful belief that being poor their entire life would have been fine n dandy.

Maybe when you become rich and successful, it’s impossible to not become out of touch with reality.

Your new “reality,” your bubble, prevents you from dealing with the day-to-day stressors 99% of the planet faces.

I don’t know, but me no likey.
