Engine 5: First due at a working fire on the first floor of a two-story four-plex. Both firefighters were less than 24 hours into their first shift out of the academy. The driver was on his first upgrade, acting as an engineer.
Ladder 5: Quickly accessed the second story and rescued an individual trapped by smoke and fire.
