Dubai Crown Prince meets PM Modi and Rajnath, discusses trade and defence

The Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, arrived in India for his first official visit, marking a significant boost in India-UAE bilateral relations. During his trip, he met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. Prime Minister Modi emphasized the importance of the UAE in India's strategic landscape and expressed gratitude for the welfare of over 4.3 million Indians living in the UAE. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and the Crown Prince agreed on the need to scale up military cooperation, including joint training and defence production. The visit also includes a business roundtable in Mumbai to explore opportunities in infrastructure, fintech, and innovation. This high-level engagement reflects the growing partnership and shared vision between the two nations.
