Residents warned of scams
11
Police are warning residents impacted by storms of potential scams where someone may impersonate a utility worker or government agency. Utility companies won’t ask for personal details if they reach out to you or show up at your door, and government agencies will not reach out to you unless you reach out to them first. Anyone who suspects they may have been scammed already should save any records they have and reach out to authorities. David Barr Michigan News Source.
