When An Empire Falls….

I have been thinking about these tariffs and how they will affect us. The American peasants people are going to pay these tariffs. A co-worker of my daughter named Emily (not her actual name) bought a swimsuit from a company online. The swimsuit got from point A to point B fine. Except Emily was informed she will get it once SHE PAYS THE TARIFF. Not the foreign company. Get used to this because it will become common.

I love history. Good thing because we are living through the collapse of Rome. Morals have been flushed away for money. We turn a blind eye the the horrors being committed on children and adults alike by bankers and government personnel. The Romans had gladiators. We have the internet. I would say the gladiators were far more interesting. Maybe because they accomplished something: survival. These idiots on the internet just cause drama or record their daily lives. It's boring. Don't get me wrong. There are YouTubers I enjoy watching. They aren't the “influencers” like Ruby Frankie. NO! The ones I watch actually add value. Imagine that 😳.

We have more bubbles than a bottle of champagne—financial, auto, and housing. Rome went through this as well. They held the mass of gold while shorting their citizens' currency. Just like our government has. In 1971, Nixon took us off the gold-backed power of the dollar. We switched to the petro dollar, then forced everyone to buy Saudi oil. Read The New Confessions of An Economic Hit Man by John Perkins, who helped make the petro dollar deal. Now the Saudis realize how they got screwed. Now they are in a position to negotiate a better deal for themselves. That is what we did in the 1970s, after all.

Let's chat about the stock market and the mob bosses that own it. Brief history of the experience of the market: During WWI, there were War Bonds that Americans bought. They were sold as a ‘patriotic’ thing to buy. After the end of WW I, the bonds were refunded, and the market was born. In March of 1929, a major player I think it was JP Morgan, warned about the stocks being overpriced. In October on Black Thursday what he warned about happened. It took about nine months for things to come to a head. We are in that time frame. 2029 will be a hundred year anniversary. Rome lasted 250 years as all empires do. Guess how old America is? 249….
