During the Summer Of Love – 1967 Artie Turco, Richie Scribner and I spent 2 weeks in Greenwich Village. Artie and I wrote this song and the three of us sang it while we panhandled on the city streets. Individually each of us sang a stanza then join together for the chorus. Looking back now I’m amazed so many a passerby tossed dollars at us. I guess the 60’s were a bit more morbid than I remember.
