Israel Bombs Gaza's Shujayea Homes

Israeli warplanes reduced Gaza’s Shujayea neighborhood to rubble, killing displaced families in what survivors call "a massacre with the full meaning of the word." Rescue teams dig for children and women under debris while drones hover overhead. "We saw bricks flying apart, and flying hands and feet," one witness told Al Jazeera. Over 30 homes were destroyed; most victims were children. "Enough is enough," pleaded a survivor as Israel’s post-ceasefire offensive escalates.

Gaza's civil defence agency says hospitals are struggling to cope with the number of people injured in an Israeli air strike on a residential block in Gaza City. At least 35 Palestinians were killed in the attack in the Shujayea neighborhood earlier on Wednesday. Another 80 are missing and trapped under the rubble. At least three of the victims are children.
