LET'S TALK A VITAMINS

Dr Sebi was asked about vitamins and he responded that vitamins was just another word used but had no ground in truth. So in this video I talked a bit about vitamins particularly looking at how vitamin c is made.
Most commercial vitamin C is made using the Reichstein process or modern biotechnological fermentation. Both start with corn starch or sugar as a base
1. Reichstein Process (Older Method):
- Glucose is extracted from corn starch.
- Several chemical reactions (including oxidation and hydrogenation) convert glucose to sorbitol, then to sorbose, and finally to ascorbic acid.
- Involves both chemical and microbial steps.

2. Modern Fermentation (Widely Used Now):
- Uses genetically modified bacteria or fungi to convert glucose directly into vitamin C.
Often done in China, which produces the majority of the world’s synthetic vitamin C.
