Did God Send Them… or Did Your Wounds Choose Them?

Just because it feels spiritual doesn’t mean it’s sanctified. Trauma has a voice too.
One of the most misleading beliefs Christians carry is that every deep connection must be divinely inspired. But discernment requires more than emotion. Sometimes what feels right is simply familiar pain. Trauma often masquerades as destiny—especially when we crave love, validation, or healing from past rejection.
Before declaring someone a "God-send," ask yourself: Was I whole when I chose them? Was I hearing God—or was I just tired of being alone?
