30 Minute Lower Body Calisthenics
Return of the warmth and the sunshine! It felt great to get in a workout and feel the sun on my skin! I did a 30 minute lower body calisthenics workout today. I've definitely lost some stability on my pistol squats, which was a contributor to only getting 6 reps. Nordics felt surprisingly strong. So, that was a great discovery. Bulgarian Jump squats felt really awkward. But, I think that was partially because the platform was too high. I switched to another area for the second set and it wasn't as weird. Medicine ball laterals felt great. The Split Jumps were by far the most taxing. My heart rate got up to nearly 150 bpm at the end of each set. I'm planning on getting in a cross country style distance run tonight at my daughter's soccer practice. I've also started reducing calories this week. Last year, I got down to 205. I'm sitting at 215 right now. I'm shooting to get back under 200 this year. So, here we go!
