I went to eShow Next Barcelona 2025 (eCommerce Hub)

On April 9th, I spent the day at E-Show Next Barcelona 2025, held at Fira Barcelona, and it was a great opportunity to connect with professionals from across the digital commerce space. From payment systems and logistics solutions to AI-powered content and customer experience tools, the event showcased a wide range of tech shaping the future of e-commerce.

As a developer who mainly works with SilverStripe and the SilverShop module—customized with in-house features like API-driven multi-currency support and integrations with tools like Printful, Stripe, and Mailchimp—it’s always interesting to explore how other platforms and services approach the same challenges.

There was a noticeable focus this year on AI-driven features, especially tools for product listing automation, optimized ad distribution, and customer support. Whether you're curious about fast checkouts, omnichannel loyalty programs, or how AI is shaping content creation, there was plenty to explore.

The event had a relaxed, business-focused vibe: clean stand designs, meaningful chats, and a variety of new tools to bookmark—plus a few fun surprises (like free food and 5-minute DJ lessons).

Some of the companies and tools that caught my eye included fast checkout solutions like Simpler, buy-now-pay-later services like Klarna and Scalapay, omnichannel communication from Ringover, AI-based content and automation tools like ShoppingFeed and BeApollo, logistics partners such as Hive, Deliverea, Octopia, and CTT Express, accounting automation with OKticket, and powerful back-office platforms like StoreCommander for PrestaShop and Shopify. I also took note of Tech Barcelona as a local innovation hub.
