MADMAN WITH A MEAT CLEAVER SLASHES FOUR CHILDREN IN NEW YORK.

MEAT CLEAVER MANIAC ATTACK

#1. A maniac with a meat cleaver slashed and stabbed several children -- so much for the quality of mental health in New York.

#2. It was a disturbing and horrifying event, but no stranger to New York; violent crimes' poster child and so much for their claims of dramatically lower violent crime.

#3. Dateline Brooklyn, New York -- Four girls were chopped up by a crazed cleaver-wielding uncle yesterday. Ya think it has something to do with mental illness? Maybe! Maybe its knives that kill. Maybe we need to license, register, and police the sale of knives and cleavers. Maybe we need another government agency such as CKI [Cleavers, Knives, and Ice picks] Yah, right!

#4. Police responded to a 911 call from a badly wounded 11-year- old girl, locked in her bedroom.

#5. She told dispatch her uncle had gone crazy and that she was hurt and bleeding "a lot". Dispatch worked with unusual speed for New York, where "911" services are notoriously chaotic and incompetent.

#6. Responding to the sounds of children's screams coming from within the house, police kicked in the door and entered the house with weapons drawn.

#7. On entering the house, officers were confronted by a blood- spattered man holding a meat cleaver, breathing heavily, and screaming at them.

#8. The maniac refused to drop his weapon, advancing on police.

#9. According to police spokesperson, "The 2 officers discharged their firearms a total of seven rounds between them, striking the subject and ending the threat."

#10. The girls aged 16, 13, 11, and 8 suffered "serious slash and stab wounds."

#11. The children were rushed to a nearby hospital where sources say they are expected to live.

#12. Their 49-year-old uncle, Lun Chang Chen, is also expected to live after some 'touch-and-go' surgery.

#13. Whatever it is that tripped this guy's wire is still under investigation.

#14. The mother is alive today, probably because she wasn't home when the shit hit the fan.

#15. Bereaved parents are consoling the girls, who will require further surgeries and probably some good psychological counseling.

#16. If there is any justice, and if Chang is found competent to stand trial, let's home the courts can send him to our friends in El Salvador.
