Cold Winds of Massachusetts April

The April wind came blowing in from Massachusetts Bay
It lingered there to chill your hair and walk with me
All spring long, we sang sing songs
On North Wollaston Beach

Two sweethearts and the April wind
Like Easter eggs
Those days and nights they went rolling by
Massachusetts was a frozen tundra like you and I

Then softer than a Neanderthal Man
One day it froze you
I lost you, I lost you to the April wind

And guess who sighs with melancholic eyes
Through cold that never end
My chilly friend, the April wind
