Voting begins in Gabon for Presidential election

Voters in Gabon are heading to the polls in the capital Libreville, to cast their ballots in the presidential election. Transition head General Brice Oligui Nguema is widely expected to win the top post, as the oil-rich country's first elected leader since a military coup in 2023 that brought him to power and ended the 55-year rule of the Bongo family.
