They're always Trying to Make me Proud

I was looking back through old videos yesterday and thought "my kids love me so much"

They're always trying to make me proud. Always showing off for me, always telling me a story.

Since the day they were born Ive been all in on my role of father but that doesn't mean I've been perfect every moment.

If I were to go back with 20/20 vision and pick out things to change, it would be to continue to limit the moments I wasn't in control and allowed stress to control how I showed up.

Work, my expectations, finances...all brought stress and I didn't have the willpower or strategies I have now to first control those outcomes, but more importantly have the perspective to keep me present.

I'll always have regrets but I can limit them if I am intentional. What I realized going back through these videos is how I make my kids feel is one I do not want to have.
