Why are demonstrations, protests, and strikes so ineffective?

Without a comprehensive and widespread awareness of the roots of the problems and how they are interconnected and strong national and international movements and organizations united around a project for a new societal and civilizational paradigm, the power of demonstrations, protests, and strikes to bring about systemic change is very limited, or even null.
