Lsg beat GT by 6 wickets in the 26th match of IPL 25

The 26th Match of Men’s Tata IPL-2025 was played between Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium Lucknow on 12th April, 2025. In this match Lucknow Super Giants defeated Gujarat Titians by 6 wickets.In this match Lucknow Super Giants won the toss and opted to bowl first.
Gujarat Titans while batting first scored 180 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs and gave target of 181 runs to Lucknow Super Giants to win. In reply Lucknow Super Giants managed to score 186 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 19.3 overs and won the match by 6 wickets.
While batting first Gujarat Titans started very well and their openers added 120 runs in 12.1 overs.Shubman Gill was first to go out caught by Aiden Markram of the bowling of Avesh Khan. Shubman Gill played a captain’s knock of 60 runs from 38 balls hitting 6 fours and one six.
Sai Sudharsan played well and was second to got out caught by Nicholas Pooran of the bowling of Ravi Bishnoi after scoring 56 runs from 37 balls hitting 7 fours and one six.
Then Ravi Bishnoi bowled Washington Sundar cheaply at his individual score of 2 runs. Jos Butler played well and made 16 runs from 14 balls hitting 2 fours.Butler was caught by Shradul Thakur of the bowling of Digvesh Rathi. Sherfane Rutherford scored 22 runs from 19 balls hitting 3 sixes and was LBW to Shradul Thakur in the last over of the innings. Then next ball Thakur took also the wicket of Rahul Tewatia caught by Aiden Markram.
Shahrukh Khan remained not out on 11 runs with Rashid Khan not out on 4 runs. GT scored 180 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. Shradul Thakur and Ravi Bishnoi took 2 wickets each. One wicket each was taken by Digvesh Rathi and Avesh Khan.
In reply Lucknow Super Giants made 186 runs for 4 wickets in 19.3 overs and won the match by 6 wickets. LSG new opening pair of Aiden Markram and Rishabh Pant batted with authority and added 65 runs in 6.2 overs only and laid solid foundation for win.
Lucknow Super Giants lost the first wicket of Rishabh Pant caught by Washington Sundar of the bowling of Prasidh Krishna after making 21 runs from 18 balls hitting 4 sixes.
Then Nicholas Pooran with Aiden Markram added 58 runs from 29 balls for the second wicket and ensured the LSG win.Aiden Markram was second to go out after playing a gem of innings of 58 runs from 31 balls hitting 9 fours and 1 six.
Then Rashid Khan removed in form Nicholas Pooran caught by Shahrukh Khan after scoring 61 runs from 34 balls hitting 1 four and seven sixes. David Miller was bold by Washingtion Sundar and contributed 7 runs. Ayush Badoni scored 28 runs from 20 balls hitting 2 fours and one six and remained not out with Abdul Samad not out on 2 runs.
LSG scored 186 runs for 4 wickets in 19.3 overs and defeated GT by 6 wickets. Aiden Markram was adjudged the Player of the Match.
