Russell Brand is hit with serious charges in the UK

Russell Brand has been accused of multiple counts of rape and sexual assault in the UK, stemming from incidents that allegedly occurred in 1999.

Let’s first hear what Russell Brand had to say when the news broke. Here it is:

"I’ve always told you that when I was young and single, before I had my wife and my family—they’re right over there, my beautiful children—I was a fool. I was a fool.

Before I lived in the light of the Lord, I was a drug addict, a sex addict, and a jerk. But what I never was, was a rapist. I never engaged in non-consensual activity. I pray you can see that when you look me in the eyes."

What do you think? I believe the statute of limitations for crimes has always been controversial, and I can see both sides of the argument, to be clear.
